Now the english translation for non speaking portuguese out there...
After nearly a month working all day and everyday, coming home late or not even going to sleep at home, yesterday i got home to have dinner with D. Pimpolha. At the end of dinner and because mom here wanted one icecream (the inimitable Fizz) we went to out to get it although it was already timed for her to go to bed. But because I haven't spent time with her, D.Pimpolha asked me to take a walk, see the sights and stalls that have already arise trought out the Algarve. Most had the very same things, bracelets, earrings and tererés. I told her not to think of getting anything because she always wants some new bracelet or tereré but as mom here has learned how to do it, i would be more than happy to make her a few at her request. But we still peeked to see if any of the many bracelets had her name and, as predicted, there was none. We made friends with Maria who told us she would make one with her name and then if she wanted to buy it, she could. Of course I told her that if she wanted to buy the actual bracelet, she had to resorte to her piggy bank to do so since I also know how to make bracelets with names, but I confess that the one i did had her petit nom since the other is large and does not fit in the bracelet. There were little girls having tererés done (for 5 euros and more), buing wristbands and choosing tattoos. The street was with some people, nothing to compare with the same period last year, and for my sins, there they were, men statues that i abhor because I think they are so creepy!! And this one was over the top! With a wedding dress and a corny bouquet and unshaved ... yek!
Well we had our little stroll, as we were only supposed to go out just to buy an ice cream, and had left all the lights and tv on and if Mr Hubby should have returned home before us, surelly the two two of us would be grounded. When we returned home, I assumed Mr Hubby was enjoying the fact that I was finally home, to stay a few more hours working in the Office, and i sent D. Pimpolha to wash her teeth and go straight to bed. Suddenly, there was a key in the door and Dad arrived ... really pissed off (a little) because in the end he had forgotten the keys in the car that was near the office and was since 20.30 at our door trying to see if someone would open it ... (the fact is that our buzzer is not working ...) I asked why he had not called home or my mobile phone and smiling mockingly said he had done that but there was no answer. It so happens that they were both in the bedroom and neither I nor she had heard them. There was14 calls from poor Mr Hubby who had decided to come home early for us to share a family dinner since we have not had that privilege for a long time. It was a case of unfortunate misunderstandings, he had been looking for us in the wrong places, we went east and he went oest ... As he missed me ( hihihi ) Mr Hubby forgave our little adventure. After all, rather than waste time getting angry, it was much better to enjoy the time we finally had to enjoy each others company (heheheheh) Since we could not get out, as D. Pimpolha was already tucked in, we decided to stay in the wonderfull world of the sofa watching a Star Trek episode before heading to the Valley of our confortable bed ... And it felt so good!
Adorei este modelito de sofá embora eu e o Dom Maridão não coubessemos os dois nele...
Love this one but it does not seem very cosy...
